Insurance

One thing I’ve noticed is that insurance companies seem to take advantage of loyal customers.  I used to stay with one insurance company for years until I realized that the longer I stayed with one place, the more disproportionately high my rates became.  Why is that?

Well, when you are dealing with an insurance agent, they are getting their pay based on how much they can mark up your rates.  The more they charge you, the more they make.  When they know that you are not going to competitively research and test their rates, they have no vested interest in lowering your rates.  What’s the answer?

Competition.

It’s really that simple.  Never, ever, ever simply renew any of your insurance policies.  If you simply requote your insurance prices each time you are due to renew, you are guaranteed to save yourself money.

I know what you’re thinking.  Surfing the internet and making a million phone calls can be such a pain.  That’s why it is critical to utilize an independant agent who represents multiple companies to do the work for you.  That way, you give your information out one time.  No hassle, no worries about comparing different sets of information to widely varying prices.

Whether it’s term, whole life, or any other type of insurance policy - remember, the key to lower rates is competition.

How to make easy money online

Seriously…aren’t you about sick and tired of seeing web pages that tell you how easy it is to make money online.  The fact is - it’s not easy.

No matter what path you take to try to make money online, it requires hours of effort, research, and hard work.  But there are some methods that are easier than others.

One method that I’ve used is to sign up for a few sites who pay you to read e-mails.  Yeah, I know.   It sounds a bit silly, but here is what is going on.  People with things to sell need a way to get their name out and recognition of their brand.  One way they do this is by signing up for e-mail programs with outside companies.  With all the new SPAM laws, they either don’t have an e-mail list of their own or they don’t want to deal with the potential issues that arise from it.  So, they submit their ad to these sites who send their ads out to people who have asked to have ads sent to their e-mail.  Thus, everyone is happy.  To get people to sign up to receive these ads in their e-mail, the company pays people to read the e-mails.  Now, don’t get too excited, you’re not going to find a legitimate company who is going to pay you more than pennies to read each e-mail, but they all pay sign up bonuses and they all pay you commissions on people you sign up under you.  That’s how you can make some good spending money using this method.

Check out Hits4Pay and DealsnCash as two great companies to start with.

Keywords

As you surf the internet looking for the way to make millions, you’ll find everyone talks about the importance of keywords.  But, what is a keyword?  A keyword is nothing more than the great internet’s way of creating an index of items on a webpage so that the almighty search engines have a method to retrieve information.  In your website, you will need to add tags.  A tag is your method of applying a keyword to your page/article.  I cannot stress enough the importance of using good keywords/tags to drive traffic to your website. The Ultimate Keyword Research Tool KeyCompete.com is a fantastic way to save time and get fantastic ideas for your keywords to apply to your site. Don’t know what keywords to use in your marketing campaigns?
Think about it this way.  You wouldn’t go to a store and hand them $50 and walk out with nothing.  Well, that’s exactly what you do when you spend money on google, facebook or a number of other avenues to drive traffic to your website without doing the proper research.  Download the keywords your competitors use.  Spend your dollars wisely and you’ll earn much, much more.

Buying a domain name

So you have a great idea for a website and need to register a domain name.  How and where do you do it? GoDaddy.com is a great place to start.  You know GoDaddy from the Superbowl commercials.  They are a leader in the industry and a great place for a newbie to begin their search.  Pick you website name and use their easy tool to check and see if it is already registered.  From there, GoDaddy makes it super easy to finish the registering process.

When choosing your domain name make sure that you includes your keyword in it.  Try it.  Go to google and enter a search word.  The first 10+ results all have the keyword in the domain name.  Be sure to do complete and thorough research on your keyword niche before even starting.  Go to Google trends and type in various keywords.  You want a niche keyword that has a very high search trend with very low number of current domains that match the keyword.  (sounds easy, eh?  It’s not)

If it sounds too good…

Let’s just say right now…if you’re surfing the internet and you come across an “Opportunity to make MILLIONS”…it’s a scam.  Don’t read any further, Don’t click on anything, exit as fast as you can and run screaming.  Ok…don’t scream.  There is absolutely, positively no way to get rich quick by using anyone’s “system” or anyone’s “program”.  People who are making money on the internet do it thru hard work, research, and skill, not by using someone’s system.  Whatever you do, don’t say to yourself…”it’s only $20″…

If you want to give someone $20, let me know.  I’ll send you my address and you can write me a check.  I’ll send you a paper bag in return.  Get the point..it is a complete and utter waste of time and money.

That includes offers to teach you how to do something, use some program, use e-bay to become rich, etc.  Your time and money is much better spent on researching forums, performing trials and errors, and working hard.  I’m sorry if I’m just now breaking the news to you…you have to work hard to succeed.  Allow me to repeat…you HAVE to work hard to succeed.

If you’re not willing to committ the time and energy, don’t even start.  Just write that check for $20 and send it to me.  Trust me..you’ll be farther ahead if you do that then put forth a half hearted effort and expect people to come delivering money for no work!

Newbie

Wikipedia defines newbie as a “slang term for a newcomer to online gaming or internet activity.”  You and I would define it as the feeling I get when I log on to that forum and ask a question.  Go ahead they say, “welcome to our forum”, feel free to ask questions.

Except….after you ask the questions…you get one of two responses.  Type one response is the “didn’t you read the forum”.  Where clearly, you should have made a more valiant effort to explore the forum before asking your dumb NEWBIE question.  Type two response is the “gibberish, techno-speak, talk over your head”.  Oh sure, they answered your question perfectly.  And anyone who is an expert in the subject matter has a complete and thourough understanding of the answer.  Unfortunately, you have no idea of what in the world they just said.  So, you ask two more questions in response - get two more techno-geek answers, bang your head on the wall, and spend countless hours trying to figure out what you’re doing.

Follow me on the journey to the elusive “MAKING MONEY ON THE INTERNET” scheme.  We can learn together, make mistakes together, and hopefully, have some fun together.

Welcome all!
